Still Average February 13, 2010 water baby (West Midlands) I had read the reviews on this book, which were glowing, but I didn't find the book inspiring at all. The hair ties that come with the book are alright, but they are attached to the back cover which is longer than the front cover so that it can hold the box of hair ties which is glued on and very hard to remove. Unfortunately this is useless for standing the book upright on a shelf. It looks untidy. As for content, there isn't any real innovation here, only fairly standard stuff. The best thing I can say is, this book has quite good instructions and pictures.
Fantastic book - highly recommended July 3, 2009 Mrs. Helen Wallace-iles This book is fantastic. Great hair ideas with full, easy to follow instructions. Highly recommended.
OK IF YOU LIKE BRAIDING YOUR HAIR September 29, 2008 A. Hayes (Solihull, England) This was a very easy book to follow and for those who love braiding their hair this is a must. learned how to do some good briads, but only suitable for medium/long hair. The accessory box and scrunchies were a bonus but nothing special!
A Must for Beginner Mums! June 28, 2007 Jenny 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this book to learn how to put French plaits in my daughter's hair for a gymnastics competition. The whole idea filled me with dread as I had never attempted to do them before, but by just following a few simple steps, I was able to create the most impressive results. I would highly recommend this book to any mum who needs to learn the technique.
Finally I can do a french braid! May 18, 2007 Catherine (Belfast, N. Ireland) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was able to do many different braids and hairstyles on other peoples hair but not my own.
I've only had this book for a week and I've already successfully created the rope braid, French braid, French rope braid and others all by myself on my own mid back length hair.
Some of the twist styles aren't great for longer hair but it helps the imagination to get going! The scrunchies are nice. I don't really like the beaded one though; it looks like it would eat my hair too much!!
There is only 1 problem with this book.
I wish there was more. Don't get me wrong, there is plenty there to kept me busy for a long time but I love learning new styles and techniques. I recommend this to anyone who wishes to learn how to do beautiful styles! And it's great for the complete beginner too!
