Amazed by these reviews.... March 1, 2010 Phatwa (Kent, UK) There are no instructions with this item, which is a huge oversight. I don't see how picking at a spot with a specially-designed tweezer will cleanly remove it, especially when blackheads are flat against the skin. I bought the pads instead, this thing isn't worth the time, money or effort. Probably one of the worst products I've bought from Amazon. My girlfriend thought it was a hair curler. Definitely one to avoid, lesson learned......
Sensitive Skin February 27, 2010 Zoe I really like this product, it does work well and it's quite satisfying to use, in that sort of morbid way in which we love to squeeze spots.
However, I do have very sensitive skin, so after I use this product, my skin is very red and sore for about 2 days afterwards, so I have to use it on a Friday night and hide inside all weekend. Also, my skin then goes very dry as a result of the tool tearing some of my skin. So just a warning if you have sensitive skin like me.
All in all i would say FAIL. February 19, 2010 flumpy bunny pointless, painful, pricey are but a few words that can be used to describe this item. As far as i can tell Tweezerman have cleaverly invented a product that leaves horse shoe shaped marks on you face giving the impression you have been trampled by a load of tiny horses (also highlighting the spot or blackhead it was supposed to remove). Unless i am totally misunderstanding how to operator the thing (which is unlikely as lets face it, the thing is a hoop of steel) i can see no advantage to spending money on what two fingers can do with less aggravation, that is unless you do not have fingers...in which case it will be impossible to hold so i would advise against that as well.
It does work February 18, 2010 Hazeldene Not sure how useful this item is. I have given 4 stars as it does remove blackheads, but I think fingers work just as well. Buy this is you want to remove blackheads without using your fingers.
So so?!? January 7, 2010 Sarah Hall This product works however I wouldn't recommend spending the amount of money it costs when you can use your hands to do the same job for free! It is no more effective than giving your blackheads a good old squeeze with your fingers! And this product also leaves nasty looking lumps after using it :-z
