This is totally spot on. I had a Philips one before which lasted about 4/5 years but this one seams alot better. More gentle and a better result. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL.
Great for underarms, not so much for legs August 21, 2010

The Satinelle Soft Epilator is great for underarms, but I have to say that it didn't work as well for my legs. The rotary didn't grab my thin/fine leg hair as well as it grabbed the coarser underarm hair. Knees were also a slight problem area as the head is wide. As I target my epilators for the underarm, I have to say that I was over-all pleased with the product, but if you have thin/fine hair and tend to use it more on legs, I'd recommend to skip the Satinelle Soft.

I had a Braun epilator for more than 5 years and it was fantastic. I switched to the Phillips one, since it looked like it would be just as good & had many more attachments. However, the epilator is not as great as Braun. You have hair growth within 5-7 days, and I have to use it almost every week. Earlier, I used to go 10-14 days without the need to re-use.
The attachments are all fine, and quite handy.

Wasn't sure I was wasting my time (and money) buying this. It has actually turned out better than expected and the growth is much slower than the usual razer. It does hurt but you get used it it. You also come out in a rash so you definitely need to use it the day before a special event. I would recommend it.

I cannot lie this product is not for people that are not good with pain. The pain reminds me of waxing, the first few strips hurt but then you become use to the pain. There are two speed levels too. I have used this product about 2 times on my legs, underarms and arms and already I am impressed with the results. My skin is smoother in the above areas and the hairs are thinner, especially under my arms. When I went on holiday recently I used the epilator beforehand and took the shaving head with me which was useful for when the odd few hairs grew back.
I do strongly advice using this product at night and after a bath/shower as it eases the pain and the area of skin does look agitated after. If you are a lady that does not mind the pain of beauty this is the product for you. When I was shopping around for an epilator, the Philips HP6509 was one of the cheapest on the market and even cheaper on Amazon. I know people say you get what you pay for but my experience is that this product exceeds this. I hope my opinion has helped you.
